The study consisted of 2 steps. Firstly, the study focused on the natural wastewater treatment process of mangrove forest ecosystem. The objective of this step was to study how the systematic environmental structure of mangrove forest played a role in wastewater treatment based on literature reviewed on wastewater treatment. The results revealed that mangrove forest had a systematic environmental structure which could reduce organic matter in wastewater i.e., by precipitation, by decomposition and filtration. The second step was an attempt to study the process of community wastewater treatment of Bang Pharog community, Phatum Thani Province, which was successfully implemented by interviewing key informants who developed the wastewater treatment model in their community. The results showed that there were five models of wastewater treatment in which each systematic environmental structure falled in the same function as that behaved in mangrove forest ecosystem. It could be inferred, in general, that systematic environment of wastewater treatment acted by nature could be applied for developing suitable wastewater treatment to recuperate water pollution problem for another area. |
